EUKLID Design is an object oriented and relational 2D engineering system for Mechanical Design and production detailing. As a 2D CAD system it fulfills all the requirements for creating production drawings meeting especially DIN and ISO standards. But EUKLID Design is much more. It gives you the opportunities to design intelligent parametric variants and enables you to optimize and automate your design process in order to generate complete sets of production or tender drawings automatically on the input of few specifications from a customer request.
Used as a normal 2D design application EUKLID Design captures your design intentions without additional input and stores them in relations between geometry and information objects. An intelligent cursor provides you with suggestions suiting to your design situation. Customers can bring in their technological knowhow so that EUKLID Design is able to react intelligently on dimension modifications or to generate variants. Part families and lines of products can be created, completely parameterized and driven by tables. Customers can add their own standards, symbols, objects or functions even without programming and integrate them seamlessly into the user interface.
In connection with SolidWorks EUKLID Design is a powerful tool to create detailed production drawings from your 3D designs especially to integrate views from SolidWorks in a 2D design environment. Additionally it gives you the flexibility of a real mixed up and associative 3D/2D design. Parts designed in 2D by EUKLID Design can refer to views from 3D parts. Dimension modifications in SolidWorks can be updated in EUKLID Design and all the additional details and 2D designed parts are adapting associatively as well as the drawing details like dimensions, tolerance and roughness symbols. Overall EUKLID Design supports you in managing the consequences of changes and to achieve consistent "zero defect" production documents through all parts. EUKLID Design increases the efficiency of design processes by standardisation and automation und shortens throughput time and time to market.
